SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 22, 2026. Snapmaker and Phaetus today announced the Snapmaker × Phaetus Liber™ High Flow Hotend for U1, jointly developed for Snapmaker U1. Combining high volumetric flow with enhanced wear resistance and precision engineering, the new hotend is ideal for batch production and rapid prototyping.

What is the Liber™ High Flow Hotend for U1?
The Liber High Flow Hotend is a complete U1-specific extrusion module. It integrates Phaetus’ Liber Split-Flow Melt Channel, a DLC-coated hardened-steel nozzle, and a precision-machined seamless heat break into one hotend assembly designed around the U1 hardware architecture and printing workflow.
Up to 87% higher volumetric flow
Volumetric flow determines how much molten material a hotend can deliver per second. The Liber Split-Flow Melt Channel divides the melt path into optimized channels, increasing the effective surface-to-volume ratio and helping heat reach the filament core more efficiently.
Under matched energy-use test conditions, volumetric flow of the high flow hotend increased by 66% with PLA, 87% with ABS, and 43% with PETG HF compared with the U1 Stainless Steel Hotend. The higher sustained output is particularly valuable for large-volume models and long, continuous extrusion paths, where material delivery can become the primary limit on printing speed.
